Got down to Quartzsite yesterday. Definitely in the "boonies" now and quite a contrast to Lake Havasu. It's almost a ghost town this time of year and soooooooo quiet. Trucker looks bored.........no bunnies to stalk. It's in the high 70's, low 80's with nighttime temps in the high 40's.......just perfect!

Well, this is my last night at Lake Havasu for awhile. Had a couple of nice weeks of R & R except for "rocking out" at the Desert Bar last Sunday where I caught up with a bunch of the W.I.N.'s gang. The air was crisp and the dancers were wildly rocking out to a great band that played oldies and goodies from the 60's - 70's era.
Off to Quartzsite tomorrow for a few days and then on to Borrego Springs, hopefully in time for the annual Thanksgiving Feast, my first there.

International Catamaran Race

Well we made it to Lake Havasu and got my favorite spot again at the State Park. The trip was uneventful other than I drove the whole way with my left hand as I some how managed to get a pinched nerve in my neck just before I left home.
Trucker, my faithful traveling companion, was so happy to get here. It was hot, in the 90's and he said "time for a dip" in the lake.

1 2 3 READY GET SET...........GO!

Sunday, November 1, 2009
Well I think I'm just about all packed now. I'm sitting here in my trailer with Trucker checking out all systems. The wind is blowing about 90 mph (well maybe just 25, but it feels like more.) If all systems are GO, I will take off tomorrow morning.
this is a pic of my home sweet home, built in 1910 that I love so much.
