CHRISTMAS AT YUMA

Another Christmas come and gone on the BLM land at the VFW. Christmas Eve Joanne Jones put on another excellent talent, no talent show. There were songs, songs and more songs. Everything from a guitar to a ukelele to a gazoo. Even Randy and Joanne dazzled us with their tap dance routine, only to be yanked off by stage manager Bob Dwyer.

On a beautiful, warm Christmas day we devoured another wonderful dinner put on by the VFW and added to by the WIN’s contributions. After the dinner, those that could still stand, enjoyed stretching their legs as the local Western band played on.

The week following included dance lessons by Judy at the VFW and a variety of entertainment including, 4-wheeling, rock hounding, flea marketing, kayaking, dancing, hiking, movies, more dancing and bowling.

After a week in Brenda, off we went to Quartzsite where the weather turned cooler, much cooler and I came down with a GI bug. Just taking it easy until time to move on to Yuma for the holidays.
